In the face of escalating Zionist attacks and imperialist state repression, the #StandWithJarrar Political Defence Committee invites organizations internationally to pledge to the below political and comradely commitments.

Weaving Our Worlds has signed onto the pledge below. This pledge is a means of committing to our political project no matter the state repression we may face. We must commit to not turning away from comrades who face repression in our movement, and we must do this collectively.

We, Weaving Our Worlds, pledge to…

1. Acknowledge and condemn the longstanding imperialist repression used against the Palestine solidarity movement in the imperial core

The targeting of Palestinian, Arab, and internationalist organizers and organizations is a continuation and expansion of centuries of settler-colonial violence by means of surveillance, fracturing of revolutionary movements, policing, incarceration, and the use of terror labels; all practiced to protect imperialist hegemony.

These instruments of repression aim to instil fear and fracture the unity of the internationalist movement demanding the total liberation of Palestine, from the river to the sea.

2. Commit to exposing the motives of the imperialist states behind state repression faced in the imperial core

Zionist motives paralyze the growing solidarity of the masses with Palestine by seeking to delegitimize righteous anger and obscure the genocidal intentions of the Zionist occupation.

By any means necessary must we continue to expose the material, diplomatic, and ideological cover for Zionism and its expansionist aims which is bound within the economic and geopolitical interests of the Canadian settler state.

3. Reject the so-called “terrorist” label and divest from the racist concept of terrorism entirely

“Terrorist” lists, labels, and criminalization are a political weapon invented by the oppressor to paralyze the oppressed and prevent them from resisting subjugation. We must completely divest from the colonial concept and refuse to let colonial law, corporate media, and policing and intelligence agencies of “Canada” define the boundaries of our uprising and support for the resistance in Palestine and the whole of West Asia.

4. Pledge solidarity with comrade Ahmad Hajahmad Jarrar and the movement: a pledge that “terrorism” charges will not stop us and we will not isolate our comrades who experience this

We pledge that these state manufactured “terrorism” charges will not stop us nor will they succeed in isolating our comrades or abandon our support for the Palestinian Resistance. We reject the pressure to distance ourselves from targeted comrades. Instead, we will always cradle those who are targeted in collective solidarity, political support, and shield them from further Zionist attacks and state violence.

To Ahmad Hajahmad Jarrar, and to every organizer facing the weight of this repression: you are not alone. An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us and our movement will only grow more resolute in the face of this attempted intimidation. Your sumud strengthens ours.

5. Actively combat imperialist repression of the movement and criminalization of pro-Palestine dissent through demands from masses

The same settler-colonial state that subjugates and oppresses us will not and cannot set us free. We must contend with the fact that “Canada” is actively invested in our criminalization and materially benefits from it, which is why repression is utilized in the first place.

Demands from the masses– solidarity, mutual aid and struggle, and proud support for the Palestinian Resistance– must be taken up.
